Even though officials in the United States (and around the world) have shut down entire cities and closed schools and businesses, some people continue to question the actual severity of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
The suggestion that some are making is that we have nothing to worry about because the virus is no worse than the common flu. However, the current data available about coronavirus does not support this belief, and the fact is that COVID-19 has a reproduction rate up to twice as high as the seasonal flu.
Both coronavirus and the flu share some of the same signs and symptoms, including fever, cough, and shortness of breath. However, the common flu actually has more symptoms, which include fatigue, headaches, runny nose, sore throat, and vomiting.
