Cleaning your hands with alcohol-based hand sanitizers can effectively kill the coronavirus, and surfaces can be disinfected by chlorine, but once the virus has actually entered the body, spraying alcohol or chlorine all over will do nothing to kill the virus.
The CDC recommends using alcohol-based hand sanitizers that have more than 60% ethanol or 70% isopropanol. Additionally, washing your hands frequently with soap and water is also effective at removing pathogens.
